5 Best Cloud Conferences You Must Attend.

I personally love in-person events. This opens a plethora of opportunities to learn, network and primarily explore what is the latest applications which might change the world tomorrow. And since I have a deep interest in Cloud and especially how fast things are changing in that space.

And recently I have prepared my bucket list of tech events. The below list is all in-person conferences where you can meet real people in their flesh.

1. Cloud Fest

Location: Germany
Ticket: 399 - 999

This is one of the greatest Annual Cloud event. One of the best part about the event is the after office party. I personally feel that most deals are done over a beer! So from a quick job offer to a business deal anything could happen at Cloud Fest which excites me the most about this event.

Who should attend: Developers, Technologists, Entrepreneurs, People in Cloud Services etc.

2. KubeCon

Find the link to KubeCon here: https://events.linuxfoundation.org/
Ticket: €299 - 2199

KubeCon is one of the most funded Cloud-Native events in the world. This event has an endless list of sponsors. This event is directly hosted by the Linux Foundation, and you can expect a job offer, a business deal, a customer or even a serious investor. With a tons of activity, stalls, food, and live music this event is a perfect blend of business, fun, leisure and learning.  is This the most anticipated tech conference in my bucket-list. You can also find youtube videos from 2022 KubeCon on YouTube.

Let us know in the comment if you also want to visit the next KubeCon, we can help arrange for a sponsorship.

Who should attend: Software Architects, DevOps Enthusiasts, Technologists, Entrepreneurs, and People in Cloud Services etc.

3. Cloud Expo Europe

Location: London
Ticket: Free

Another in-person event in Europe. This is a real Cloud Expo, and is a must visit if you are a Cloud Enthusiast. You will find companies solving real cloud problems in this Expo. Interact with the founders directly about their product. You can expect to meet your next employer, investor, customer or partner at this event. One of the best thing about the event is that this event is the only Free event in this entire list.

Who should attend: Entrepreneurs, Investors, Cloud Architects, DevOps Enthusiasts, and People in Cloud Services etc..

4. Digital Enterprise Show

Location: Europe
Ticket: 60 - 1990

As the name suggest Des Show is not just about Cloud but it is an overall Startup and Business presentation. And for that reason, I will put Des Show in my bucket list but certainly after Cloud Expo. And unlike, the above three conferences, you are more likely to meet business individuals than a bunch of geeky nerds. Also, at the Des-Show you can expect to see a lot of other industries than tech such as, Telecom, Health, e-Commerce, Insurance etc.

Overall the best thing is, that you might witness some of the very latest technologies much before the rest of the world.

Who should attend: Investors / Investment Firms, Technologists, and Entrepreneurs.

5. Dublin Tech Summit

Location: Dublin
Ticket: 300 - 500

Another in-person event in Europe. I have put this at the last because again it is not just technology conference, but more of Tech Startup Summit. So if you're a startup founder, then this should rather be on the top. This event definitely grabs a larger crowd than the first two in the list. If you're a software engineer and seeking job and you are really good at talking you can definitely find something for yourself at this Summit. But in general you should visit here as a startup looking to raise funds, or generate good qualified leads, or seeking for possibilities of integration.

Who should attend: Investors / Investment Firms, Technologists, and Entrepreneurs.

Honorary Mentions

I know there are a lot of other tech summits and events. But they are either Virtual, or particularly hosted by one company. I personally don't like Virtual conferences because I can't network with anyone. And when it is hosted by a particular company then we only see what that particular company has to offer. Hence it is more of a product launch than a networking session.

My list of Honorary Mentions -
  • RedHat Summit - It is a virtual meet for IT professionals closely working on RedHat technologies. Where RedHat show cases their new products.
  • VMWorld - This conference by VMware is for corporates and their partners to discuss their vision on the multi-cloud era.
  • Dell Technologies World - Experience the vision of Dell Technologies to enhance their business and improve their future road maps. Good for IT Professionals, who are closely working with Dell.
  • DockerCon - Virtual conference hosted by Docker which majorly includes product demonstrations.
  • Google Cloud Next  - A virtual event by google which focuses on Google's Cloud Services for business. Good for App Developers, IT Professionals using GCP.
  • Microsoft Ignite - Another virtual event. But by Microsoft. Focuses on educating attendees about Microsoft Azure.
  • AWS re:Invent - AWS re:Invent is one the biggest in this category. This brings customers, partners, developers under one roof but focuses only on AWS product line up.
